From Hell (and Kenner)

Speaking of which, over the years I have amassed a tidy sum of old pulp novels that are so much fun:
The covers are glorious- you’ll have to look at them sometime. Yes, I have a gavel. In the 90s/00s, I used to check in to thrift stores pretty regularly in search of the strange, the useful, and the cool. Once in a while I would try out an estate sale, and the gavel came from one of the particularly large, old houses in the historic-ish part of town. It also had a separate little house tucked behind it that felt more Servant’s Quarters than Guest House, and that’s where I found a total treasure trove of old pulp paperbacks. That lil haul kicked off the collection. But I don’t find them much anymore, and besides, I have too much of this sort of crazy shit already. Some of my stuff still needs to be sorted through and jettisoned, but the pulps are staying.
